I was in a weird mood lately and invented this recipe. It’s really good. It does sound extremely weird, but somehow it works. You should definitely try it. Whiting is a great fish to experiment with because it has such a light favor. I love whiting because it is less “fishy” than other fish. Anyway here’s the recipe.

Peanut Crusted Whiting-Parve Recipe

1 Package Schindler Whiting. I buy it at Tom Thumb in the frozen kosher section
1/2 cup peanuts
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons sesame oil

Let your fish thaw out for a while. Grind your peanuts in the blender until fine. In a small bowl mix honey and sesame oil. Add a little water. Maybe a couple tablespoons. Dip fish into honey mix then dip in bowl with ground peanuts. Lay onto a baking sheet. Drizzle honey and a little sesame oil over the top. Bake 350 for 20 minutes. You could even fry this dish. I haven’t tried it yet, but I think it would be really good. This recipe could also make a great kosher appetizer. I would cut the whiting up into bite sized pieces, fry them, and put on toothpicks. I know it sound like an odd combination, but it’s actually really good. I was inspired by our friend Aaron who crusted Whiting with walnuts.
